British Airways' 'London for Free' Means Two Free Hotel Nights in London
NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Travellers looking to stretch their travel dollars in 2006 should search no further than British Airways. Today, British Airways announced the return of "London for Free," the popular program that offers two free nights' hotel accommodations in central London when purchasing round-trip airfares between the United States and any worldwide British Airways destination.
Travellers may choose to fly directly to London and take advantage of two free hotel nights or fly to any worldwide British Airways destination with a stopover in London to enjoy those two free hotel nights, courtesy of British Airways. Airfares begin at $298 roundtrip between New York's JFK/Newark airports and London's Heathrow. Sample round trip airfares to other destinations from New York include:

Travellers who register and book at britishairways.com can save an additional $20 during this promotion. "London For Free" must be purchased from Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, through Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. Travel, except to India, is valid from Jan. 31, 2006, through April 2, 2006. Travel from Canada-based airports to London is valid only from Jan. 31 through April 4, 2006.
The two free hotel nights are available at a selection of three- and four-star hotels for travel through Aug. 31, 2006, when higher fares may apply. London hotels participating in "London For Free" include Royal National, Paddington Court, Hyde Park, Comfort Inn Kensington, Mostyn, Jurys Inn Chelsea, Corus Hyde Park, Rembrandt, Thistle Barbican, Shaftesbury Kensington, Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt. The two free hotel nights are based on double occupancy; single occupants are offered one free hotel night.
Comparable airfares are available from all British Airways' USA gateways to London. Sample round trip economy fares are:

"London for Free" travellers have the option to upgrade their round trip air travel to World Traveller Plus, British Airways' premiere economy class, and still take advantage of the two free nights at a three- or four-star hotel. The World Traveller Plus round-trip add-on is $200 for travel between any USA gateway and London.
Promotional Details
Airfares are based on round-trip, seven day advance purchase, non-refundable, select economy class midweek (Mon.-Wed.) fares for travel, except to India, Jan. 31-Apr. 2, 2006. Fares may be higher for other travel dates from other U.S. departure gateways and to other worldwide destinations. A $20 discount is available only at ba.com when logging in and booking 'London For Free.' Weekend (Thurs.-Sun.) surcharge is $30 each way. Fares are subject to government approval and do not include government fees and taxes ranging from approx. $110 to $149 and a $2.50 September 11th Security Fee. The minimum stay is one Saturday night; maximum stay is 11 months.
Hotel rooms must be purchased between Jan. 24 and Feb. 2, 2006, in conjunction with round-trip published airfare on British Airways, for travel through Aug. 31, 2006. Travel is valid for up to two complimentary hotel nights at select hotels taken on consecutive nights in the same hotel. Double occupants are entitled to two free nights. Single occupants are entitled to one free hotel night only. Only one set of free hotel nights per person are available. Subject to availability. Other significant restrictions apply.
