Mexican Airline Orders Six New Boeing Jets
February 2, 2006
Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest airline, ordered six new Boeing Co. 737s, list priced at a combined $372 million.
The airline ordered three 737-700s and three 737-800s, with deliveries beginning in 2007, Chicago-based Boeing said Thursday.
All six airplanes will feature eight-foot wing tip extensions that reduce fuel consumption by approximately 4 percent and increase the aircraft’s range.
The airplanes are the first order booked by Boeing in 2006.
