Posted on: Monday, 6 February 2006, 12:00 CST
Luton Airport suspended all flight arrivals and some departures after a private jet overshot a runway and crashed yesterday. The small plane, carrying three crew and one passenger, was stuck in mud following the accident. No-one was injured, said a spokeswoman for the airport.
She added, 'The aircraft overshot the end of the runway. As a result of the incident operations have been disrupted.'
She advised passengers due to fly out from the airport to contact their airlines before leaving home.
The airport hoped to resume all flights late last night although delays will still be expected to services.
