JOHANNESBURG, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) — A thunderstorm, accompanied by hail, was delaying outgoing flights at Johannesburg International Airport by between 40 minutes and an hour on Friday afternoon.
Airport spokesman Solomon Makgale said the storm hit the airport around 5 p.m. (1500 GMT).
Incoming flights were allowed to land but outgoing flights were grounded, he said.
Seventeen domestic, one regional and three international flights were affected, he added.
