AirTran Airways Adds Nonstop Flights to Charlotte and Additional Flight to Minneapolis/St. Paul From Chicago Midway Airport

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. , today announced the airline will expand its route map from Chicago's Midway International Airport by adding new nonstop flights to Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The two nonstop daily flights to and from Charlotte will begin May 9, 2006, and will be served by the airline's popular Boeing 717 aircraft.

Additionally, the airline will begin its sixth daily flight to Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport from Chicago, also beginning May 9, 2006.

"AirTran Airways makes travel between the Windy City and the Queen City a breeze with nonstop daily service," said John Kirby, AirTran Airways' director of strategic planning and scheduling. "With new flights to Charlotte, North Carolina, and enhanced service to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, AirTran Airways now offers 32 low-fare daily departures to 8 nonstop destinations from Chicago's convenient Midway Airport."
