Flightstar Aircraft Services, Inc. And Florida Community College Announce Training Partnership

In a joint statement released today, Flightstar Aircraft Services and Florida Community College at Jacksonville's Aviation Center of Excellence announced the establishment of a new training partnership. Initially designed to address Flightstar's immediate need for approximately 150 new aviation maintenance employees, the program is planned to grow to include many of the training needs of Flightstar as they continue to enjoy tremendous growth at their new Cecil Commerce Center facility. This program will encourage hopeful candidates to excel in the area of aviation maintenance technology as aviation mechanics (Airframe and Powerplant), aviation sheet metal structures mechanics and avionics technicians. Upon successful completion of the program, hopeful candidates will be guaranteed an interview with Flightstar. FCCJ/Flightstar plan to begin training as early as March for interviews beginning in April.
