Spirit Airlines Reports February 2006 Traffic

Spirit Airlines reports February 2006 traffic. Spirit carried 382,828 passengers, 4.8% less than February 2005. Spirit achieved a 78.7% load factor, which was just one half of a point less than last February. Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs) reached 360,912,000 and Available Seat Miles (ASMs) reached 458,585,000.
"With 25% of our destinations having started within the past 3 months, and 15% in February alone, I'm more than pleased with our results," said Ben Baldanza, president and chief operating officer of Spirit Airlines. "There is a continued excellent customer response to our network strategy as well as our accelerated transition to an all Airbus fleet, which will be complete prior to the start of the 4th quarter.
