Iranian plane skids off runway at Istanbul airport, no one hurt
ANKARA, March 13 (Xinhua) -- An Iranian Airlines plane skidded off the runway at an airport in Turkey's commercial hub of Istanbul on Monday, but no one was hurt, semi-official Anatolia News Agency reported.
The plane, carrying 202 passengers from Tehran to Istanbul, overshot the runway at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Monday morning when landing at the airport, said the report, adding that all the passengers had been safely taken to the terminal.
The plane was later pulled back to the runway, said Anatolia, quoting airport officials as saying that there was no problem with the plane's brake system.
An investigation into the incident was underway, according to the report.
