Global Carrier Roundtable on Day 3 Features Cingular Wireless, Mobile TeleSystems, Orange and Sprint Nextel

Mobile operators and device manufacturers play a key role in defining how people communicate and live wirelessly - both today and in the future. At CTIA WIRELESS 2006(R), some of the world's leading mobile operators will discuss how convergence and technology is enabling the industry to grow while providing consumers with more low-cost options for wireless devices, content and services.

The keynote lineup on Wednesday, April 5 begins at 9 a.m. and includes industry veteran Jorma Ollila, chairman and CEO of Nokia. For the past 21 years, Ollila has led the company to achieve global market leadership as one of the most successful companies in both the mobile phone and telecommunications infrastructure markets.

Japan's NTT DoCoMo, with more than 20 million 3G subscribers, is a proven innovator in mobile communications. President and CEO Masao Nakamura will deliver his keynote address on April 5, speaking to the CTIA WIRELESS audience on the dynamic mobile lifestyle that has erupted in Japan.

Also on April 5, special guest Karim Khoja, CEO of Afghanistan's leading carrier, Roshan Afghanistan, will discuss how his company is rebuilding a nation and creating new economic opportunities and growth through wireless communications.

"A key theme of this year's event is convergence--not just within the wireless industry as we have seen with several carriers, but within all communication sectors," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA WIRELESS. "This year's keynote speakers--from the carriers to the device manufacturers--will share with our audience how the industry is embarking in a new direction that will forever change the way we receive and view all content."

On Friday, April 7, CTIA WIRELESS will proudly present a global carrier roundtable discussion that will set the stage for compelling conversation concerning the future of wireless infrastructures being deployed worldwide. Issues ranging from outsourcing to billing options and the delivery of content and services will take the helm as these C-level executives from the world's leading carriers divulge the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead:

Stan Sigman, president and CEO of Cingular Wireless, is a long-time wireless industry leader, having held similar positions at SBC Communications, where he helped start SBC's wireless business in the mid-1980s. He managed its expansion into one of the largest wireless businesses in the nation and directed its integration into BellSouth's wireless group to form Cingular in 2001. Along the way, Sigman also helped launch cellular and paging services for properties in Mexico.

Vassily Sidorov is president and CEO of Mobile TeleSystems, the second largest operator in the world and the largest mobile phone operator in Russia, with operational license in 86 out of its 88 regions. Under Sidorov's leadership, MTS' subscriber base has grown to more than 60 million worldwide.

Sanjiv Ahuja is the CEO of Orange, a global provider of integrated communications services. Under his leadership, the company continues to advance its offering of communications services whenever, wherever and however to its customers, most recently with the introduction of a fixed line service for small and medium-sized enterprises, the first to be offered in the UK by a mobile operator.

Len Lauer is the COO of Sprint Nextel where he directs all of the company's operations to deliver converged media and communication solutions. He has been instrumental to the rollout of new content and services for Sprint Nextel's wireless subscribers, including mobile music. Lauer has been a senior executive within Sprint Corporation for nearly a decade, and was previously president and CEO of Bell Atlantic-NJ. Lauer also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for CTIA-The Wireless Association(R).
