Mar. 27–FORT WORTH — Police are awaiting an autopsy to determine what caused the death of a man whose decomposing body was found this morning in a ravine in west Fort Worth.
Lt. Dean Sullivan, police spokesman, said a passerby discovered the body at the bottom of an approximately 18 to 20-foot ravine about 10 a.m. near North Verna Trail and Silver Creek Road.
Sullivan said the body, which appeared to be that of an adult man, appears to have been in the ravine about a week.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the man’s cause and manner of death, he said.
