Mar. 31--Simmons Media Group, which owns radio stations 1380 ESPN and 1490 WESL, has moved its offices and studios to Laclede's Landing.
The Salt Lake City-based media company is leasing 3,400 square feet at 22 Morgan Street.
The move consolidates Simmons' offices and studios that were in the West Port area, St. Louis and East St. Louis under one roof.
"It just made a lot of sense for both stations, with WESL serving the eastern portion of St. Louis and Southern Illinois," said Dave Greene, general manager. "Now the sports stations can be near where the action really is downtown."
Simmons spent about $100,000 to build out additional space in the building. About 26 full-time and 12 part-time employees will be based in the offices.
Jo Ann Keeney of Independent Brokers Network handled the deal for property owner Jim Huck. Marsha Finch of Solon Gershman represented Simmons.
