Apr. 3--About 750 people raised an estimated $68,000 for Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Berks County over the weekend in the 24th Annual Bowl for Kids' Sake. Nearly 135 teams took part in the bowling competition at Bowl-O-Rama in Exeter Township. Each team raised a minimum of $250 and an average of $330, organizers said.
The proceeds will be used to fund mentoring services to hundreds of at-risk children in Berks County's Big Brothers-Big Sisters programs.
