Interstate and Feeder Roads Are Backed Up From Accidents, Vehicles, Debris

Apr. 5--A rash of vehicle crashes hit Interstate 75, its feeder roads and other commute routes in the area this morning before 8 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol is reporting.
The accidents that FHP responded to before 7:50 a.m.:
First reported at 7:12 a.m. in Manatee County on Interstate 75, this accident has traffic backed up. No injuries.
7:22 a.m. State Road 70 near Lorida in Highlands County. No roadblock. No injuries.
7:32 a.m. U.S. 41 near Center Road in the Venice area. Injuries. No roadblock.
7:29 a.m. Interstate 75 northbound at Mile Marker 192 near Venice. Only one lane is open because of debris in the roadway.
7:47 a.m. in Manatee County near Parrish at 8710 Old Tampa Road near U.S. 301. This accident is at the Oil Masters Quick Lube. No injuries. No roadblock.
No time given. On Daniels Parkway westbound at I-75 near Fort Myers. Approximately 20 rolls of tar paper in the three westbound lanes under the interstate. No injuries.
