Apr. 11--GRAND PRAIRIE -- The Tarrant County medical examiner's office had yet to identify late Monday a body found in a morning blaze at a Grand Prairie convenience store. Firefighters found the man's body behind the counter after responding to a fire at Benny's Ice House in Grand Prairie about 8:30 a.m. The building was engulfed when firefighters arrived, a Grand Prairie police spokesman said. A man who identified himself as the victim's son would not release the name of the victim but did say the man was an employee who had been scheduled to work Monday. The store is on the northwest corner of Great Southwest and Pioneer parkways in Grand Prairie. Investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the fire late Monday.
