Patient Care Technology Systems Appoints Vice President Of Technology

Posted on: Wednesday, 12 April 2006, 09:00 CDT

Patient Care Technology Systems (PCTS) announced today that Jeff Hastings has joined the company as vice president of technology.

Hastings joins PCTS with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and information technology. His experience spans both healthcare application development at healthcare IT organizations such as First Data Corp. and Nine Rivers as well as IT leadership for healthcare provider organizations. Hastings is a former CIO of Lenoir Memorial Hospital, a 300-bed facility in North Carolina, where he managed the implementation of clinical and financial applications across multiple departments and was the senior IS decision maker. Hastings joins PCTS from TeleHealth Services where he led the design, development and commercialization of two integrated point-of-care solutions.

"Jeff Hastings is a strong addition to our team," said Tony Marsico, chief executive officer of PCTS. "Jeff not only brings considerable information technology experience but as a former hospital CIO, he understands the IT challenges facing healthcare providers and their IT leadership. As a member of an expanded PCTS management team, Jeff will be responsible for leading the PCTS development organization encompassing software development, interface solutions, quality assurance and usability design. As a result, he will be working especially closely with our Implementations and Client Services teams."

"PCTS is a dynamic organization and an emerging leader in the development of intelligent tracking and clinical documentation systems," said Hastings. "I look forward to continuing to develop and expand the PCTS solution portfolio and leveraging the company's expertise in comprehensive information systems and automatic patient and asset tracking software."
