Two Men Posing As Police Rob Woman in Sunnyvale Motel Room

Apr. 14--Two men posing as police officers entered the room of a guest at a Sunnyvale motel early Friday morning, handcuffing, then robbing a woman, police said.

Investigators said the men knocked on the door of the motel room at the Comfort Inn, 595 N. Mathilda Ave., at about 1 a.m., identifying themselves as police officers.

When the unidentified guest opened the door, one of the men flashed a black handgun, police said.

After entering the room, the two men handcuffed the woman and told her to remain in bathroom. The men then robbed the motel guest of some cash and unidentified personal property.

The 18-year-old victim was not injured, according to Dayton Pang, deputy chief for Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

The first suspect is described as a thin white male, in his mid 20s, with his long blond hair in a ponytail. He wore a black jacket, black long sleeved plaid shirt and blue jeans. He wore eyeglasses.

The second suspect is described as a black male, in his mid 20s, of medium build. He had short black hair and wore blue jeans a long sleeved plaid shirt.
