Where's the Fuel? Coalition for Luggage Security Offsets Increased Fuel Charges
Posted on: Wednesday, 26 April 2006, 12:00 CDT
The Coalition for Luggage Security reacts to the loss in profits amongst Airlines in America. Although airlines are increasing passenger and cargo fees, they are experiencing increased fuel prices. http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2006-04-19-american-earn_x.htm. Airlines have adopted procedures to increase fares, but fall short of mastering fuel expenses.
"American Airline has amplified their means of financial gain, but has incurred increases in fuel by $349 million from last year's quarter. Essential oil prices have matured at 24% since mid-February," said Kathleen Fahey, Coalition Director.
"This unavoidable rise of fuel costs and additional security has all contributed to the excessive failure of airline productivity. Without a strategic plan to foster a substantial recovery of losses, airline profits will continue to decline tremendously," said Assistant Coalition Director Tanisha Smith.
"The airline industry has witnessed predictions of downfall for many years," says President and Founder for the Coalition for Luggage Security, and CEO of Universal Express (OTCBB:USXP), Mr. Richard A. Altomare. "Lack of governmental funding to combat fuel surges could eradicate the airline industry. Our solution will not only decrease the security costs associated with airline travel, but also generate the potential to create revenue streams and save taxpayers billions of dollars as explained in our position paper." http://www.luggagesecuritycoalition.com/downloads/securitywp.pdf.
"Our proposal will increase earnings by opening up cargo space for more commercial usage allowing more turnaround for predictability and constant revenues for the industry. Oil may continue to increase. Innovative industries must proactively react to these oil prices. America can't wait for oil prices to decrease. America must turn challenges into opportunities. Our suggestions offset oil increases," concluded Mr. Altomare.
