May 7--CRIDERSVILLE -- The newest chapter of the Blue Star Mothers has found a new home. Chapter 2 now meets at Westview United Methodist Church, chapter President Jane Painter said. The group struggled to find a meeting place after a community room at the American Mall was no longer available.

The group had its first meeting in their new quarters this week. Of the nine members, seven have children who served or are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, Painter said. The group's focus is on supporting active duty service members, but accepts membership from anyone, including dads, Painter said.

Anyone in Allen or Auglaize counties interested in joining the group can call Painter at 419-221-1397. State group honors LACCA
