May 11--Tickets go on sale Friday for the Monaco Air Duluth Airshow July 8-9 at the Duluth International Airport.

The air show attracted an estimated 70,000 attendees when it was last held in Duluth in 2003. This year's show features a dozen performances, including the U.S. Air Force's Thunderbirds.

Air show promoters also announced this week that a vintage WWII U.S. Navy F-4U Vaught Corsair fighter will fly a "Legacy Flight" along with a F-18 Hornet jet fighter. The Corsair is a soft spot for many Baby Boomers, since they were used in the 1970s TV series "Baa Baa Blacksheep."

Here are the airshow ticket prices:

*Family day pass (two adults and two children): $45 advance; $50 gate

*Adult day pass: $14 advance; $17 gate

*Youth day pass (15 to 6): $10 advance: $13 gate

*Child day pass (5 and under): Free

*VIP chalet day pass (advance only): $125

*Corporate chalet (advance only): $3,000

*VIP parking pass: $25 advance; $30 gate

*Parking fees are included in the ticket price

Tickets can be purchased online at www.duluthairshow.com or at all SuperAmerica stores.
