Double Miles for Customers As American Airlines Continues AAdvantage Program 25th Anniversary Celebration

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- To continue the 25th anniversary celebration of the AAdvantage(R) Program, American Airlines will be offering double miles on all published-fare tickets booked on AA.com from May 15 through May 31, 2006, and flown by Nov. 15, 2006.

Starting today, AAdvantage members can log on to http://www.aadvantage25.com/ to sign up for this promotion. To qualify, customers must register prior to travel or before May 31, 2006, whichever comes first. This special bonus applies to all AAdvantage members who book American, American Eagle and the AmericanConnection(R) airlines flights on AA.com and complete travel within the promotional period. Here are some examples of the bonus miles customers will earn:

In addition to the double AAdvantage miles, American, a founding member of the global oneworld alliance, is offering a 25-percent discount on all of its MileSAAver(SM) awards within the Continental United States, and select awards to/from Hawaii, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. In order to receive the discount, customers must book and ticket their reservations May 1 through May 31, 2006, and fly between Aug. 22, 2006, and Nov. 8, 2006.

With the "25 Deals in 25 Days" campaign, American Airlines will feature a new offer every day -- including bonus miles, sweepstakes and discounts. May 1 Receive a 25-percent discount on select MileSAAver(SM) awards between the United States and Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii or within the Continental U.S. and Canada. May 3 Get a new Citi(R) Platinum Select(R) / AAdvantage MasterCard(R) or CitiBusiness(R) / AAdvantage(R) MasterCard(R) and earn 25,000 AAdvantage bonus miles after using the card for purchases totaling $250 or more. May 4 Earn a mileage bonus and up to 25 percent off rate for qualifying rentals of three days or more including a Saturday night, from Avis.
