County to Discuss Ethanol Plant Site Traffic Patterns Today

May 30--The Brown County Commission will hear from Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers this morning about ethanol plant site traffic patterns on U.S. Highway 12 and county Road 12WA.

The commission meets in regular session in the commission chambers at the Brown County Courthouse Annex, 25 Market St.

At 8:45, the commission will hold a joint meeting with the Aberdeen City Council in the council chambers in the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St., for second reading and possible adoption of two ordinances: rezoning Lot 11 in Evelo's outlots from agricultural to mini-agricultural and rezoning Lot 1 in Hartman First Subdivision from low density residential to mini-agricultural.

Agenda items for the county commission's regular meeting in the Annex include:

9: Chief Deputy Jailor John VanderHoek; discuss P-2 program and phone card system.

9:15: Rogers; discuss ethanol plant site traffic patterns on U.S. Highway 12 and county Road 12WA, maintenance of 397th Avenue south of U.S. 12 and project update.

9:30: Lincoln and Aberdeen township boards; discuss 130th Street.

9:45: Maintenance Department; discuss bids for phase two of jail project.

10:15: Director of Equalization Mary Worlie; discuss personnel.

10:30: Larry Gerlach, county fair manager; discuss personnel.

10:45: Minutes, claims, personnel, set bid date for landfill shop building, Homeland Security property transfers, blood draw agreements, township bonds, authorize advertising public hearing on malt beverage license application.

11: Representatives from American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees and county personnel; possible contract signing.
