May 30–The Nooksack Indian Tribe donated $10,000 to Friends of the Deming Library for its library expansion project.
With a $15,000 donation last year, the tribe has become the second largest donor to the library, following the state of Washington.
Friends of the Deming Library seeks to raise $600,000 to build a 5,060-square-foot addition to accommodate increased library use.
