TMW Systems Rolls Through Q1 With 17 New Customers; TMWSuite(TM) Enterprise Management Platform Draws New Customers
Posted on: Wednesday, 31 May 2006, 12:00 CDT
TMW Systems, the largest provider of enterprise management software to the trucking industry, reported signing 17 new customers in the first quarter of 2006, a substantial increase over Q1 2005. These new customers bring the trucking technology provider's active customer list to more than 560 carriers and private fleets.
"We are gratified that so many great carriers continue to put their trust in our products and services to help improve their operational efficiencies," said Tom Weisz, Chairman of TMW Systems. "Our singular focus on the trucking industry, unique combination of IT and fleet operations expertise and commitment to service excellence enables TMW to deliver a superior level of value to our customers."
A sampling of the premier carriers who have become TMW's newest TMWSuite customers include:
-- Riverside Transport, headquartered in Riverside, Missouri, is a 200-unit dry van carrier specializing in building, paper and packaging products.
-- BFL of Rockport, Indiana, a dry van carrier with a 150-tractor fleet that primarily hauls for the food industry.
-- Powersource Transportation Inc., a power-only carrier based in Griffith, Indiana operating a fleet of 175 power units that moves trailers for customers in numerous industries.
-- RoadMasters Transport Company, an Athens, Texas-based carrier that specializes in transporting manufactured and modular homes with its 350-unit fleet.
Riverside Transport was searching for improved reliability, data accuracy and integrity in its new enterprise management platform. "TMWSuite offers us great functionality and ease of use through its Windows(R)-based environment," said Riverside Transport's President Bill Grojean. "We're firm believers that if you can't measure it, you can't manage it. TMW's ResultsNow will help us to better manage our business at every level."
Unlike other platforms that BFL considered, TMWSuite provides the carrier with instant access to real-time information - not just historical data. "Our existing system did not enable us to respond to transactions as they happened," said Terry Wallace, President of BFL. "Also, with TMWSuite's activity and transaction-costing capabilities, we can measure our performance at every level and continuously improve. Partnering with the people who understand the industry and are at the front end of technology will expand our capability of interfacing with our customers, drivers and business partners."
Powersource chose TMWSuite to replace a 10-year-old platform that was not integrated with the carrier's other business systems. With TMWSuite, Powersource now has a comprehensive system that provides the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously - and the robust analytical capabilities needed to better manage the entire business. "We evaluated several ERP vendors and chose TMWSuite because we were impressed with its ability to quickly and easily extract and analyze information and its flexibility to keep pace with our growth," said Chris Thomas, Executive Vice President for Powersource.
To support its explosive growth, RoadMasters chose TMWSuite to provide its drivers with a high-quality support system. "Our company is dedicated to servicing our drivers, and we needed to build more efficiency, timeliness and accuracy into our day-to-day operations," explained RoadMasters Chief Operating Officer Mark Biersmith. "We completed an exhaustive search of truck management system vendors and determined that TMWSuite, along with its Microsoft Great Plains integration, was the turn-key solution we needed to meet our objectives."
