By The Idaho Statesman, Boise
May 24–Nampa police officers responded just before 9 a.m. Tuesday to an armed robbery report at Ace Cash Express, 4217 Garrity Blvd.
The lone female employee reported a man approached her when she went outside the business. The woman said the man put what she believed to be a gun to her back, escorted her back into the business, tied her up and took an undisclosed amount of cash, putting it into a black bag.
The suspect is described as an adult male, 25 to 29 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 190 pounds, wearing gray sweat pants, a brown flannel shirt, a black baseball-style cap and gloves. He had no facial hair, and he had dark skin.
The victim reported that she was tied up for between 15 and 20 minutes before she was able to call for help. She was still partially tied up but unhurt when officers arrived, police said.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Nampa police at 465-2257 or 468-5680. Or, to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers at 343-COPS.
