Jun. 1–Family Farm Days will be held at Oregon Dairy from Tuesday through Thursday, June 13-15, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Children and adults can get an up-close look at all aspects of Lancaster County agriculture and the environment through educational and hands-on farm activities.
Participants can ride a pony, take part in a scavenger hunt, pet animals, watch sheep shearing and wool-spinning demonstrations, eat ice cream and milk, and walk through the Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab.
Attendees can buy farm toys and a chicken barbecue meal for $3.
Helping to support Family Farms Days and celebrate National Dairy Month, state Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff will join in the festivities on Thursday, June 15, from noon to 2 p.m.
The free event is presented by The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Oregon Dairy, which is five miles north of Lancaster along Route 272 (Oregon Pike).
