Book Group Examines Classic American Novels

Jun. 12--The Great American Novel book group begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meridian Library.
The group, which will meet the second Tuesday of each month, will discuss classic books that have left an indelible mark on America.
The schedule includes: Tuesday, "To Kill A Mockingbird; July 11, "The Great Gatsby"; and Aug 8, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn."
Future titles will be decided by the group. Discussions will be led by Debra Smith, a high school teacher of American Literature. The events are free and open to the public.
