Masked Gunmen Shoot West Palm Store Clerk, Then Take Cash and Flee

Jun. 12--WEST PALM BEACH -- Two armed men with bandanas wrapped around their faces walked into a small store and shot the clerk without a word, then fled with a fistful of cash, police said.

Police spokesman Ted White said the robbery occurred around 1:15 a.m. Monday at the Dixie Food & Beverage Convenience Store, 5914 South Dixie Highway. Inside, officers found store clerk Mohommad Rahman, 51, of West Palm Beach, with a bullet wound to his left arm.

Rahman told investigators the two men who entered and shot him The suspects never said a word. They just grabbed some cash from the register and ran away.

Rahman was treated at St. Mary's Medical Center for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound

Detectives are checking the store's video surveillance cameras to see if they have images of the gunmen.

Investigators are also trying to determine if the robbery is connected to other local convenience store robberies/shootings within the last month.
