By Sean Webby, San Jose Mercury News, Calif.

Jun. 13–San Jose police identified the victims of two separate slayings during the weekend, the city’s 13th and 14th homicides this year.

Claudia Luna, 22, was found dead in her Jerome Avenue home Sunday morning.

Police say that a female friend found Luna unconscious in her home about 11:39 a.m. She was later pronounced dead by emergency medical technicians. Police released no information about suspects or motives.

Harry Luman, a 42-year-old transient, was stabbed to death in downtown San Jose early Friday night. Police are looking for a group of four or five men in their 20s who may have attacked Luman as he slept in a pedestrian plaza on San Carlos Street. Luman died on the way to the hospital.

Anyone with information on the homicides is asked to contact Sgt. Mike Brown or officer Dave Anaya at (408) 277-5283. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call the Crime Stoppers tip line at (408) 947-STOP.
