Telvent GIT S.A. (NASDAQ: TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced today the signing of two new contracts for a total of more than 8 million euro with PEMEX, the Mexican energy company, to supply and upgrade technological systems at several of the Company's installations.
In the first project, Telvent will supply information systems to control the security systems that will increase safety of employees on PEMEX's Campeche maritime platforms, located 80 kilometers from Carmen Island in the State of Campeche. In the second project, Telvent will install gas leak detections systems at the gas leak control center of the Tamazunchale gas pipeline, in the State of San Luis Potosi. The pipeline connects PEMEX's installations in Naranjos to the Federal Electricity Commission's Tamazunchale power plant.
In both projects, Telvent will use its OASyS DNA technology, a real-time information control and acquisition system.
According to Manuel Sanchez Ortega, Telvent's chairman and chief executive officer, "We are very pleased to add these contracts to those we have already signed with PEMEX. They show, once again, the Company's confidence in Telvent's high added value solutions and further strengthen our position as integrators of real-time mission critical solutions in Latin America."
