Mesa Air Group, Inc. Subsidiary Air Midwest Wins New Essential Air Service Routes to Columbia/Jefferson City, MO, Grand Island, NE and McCook, NE

PHOENIX, June 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mesa Air Group, Inc. subsidiary Air Midwest Inc. was notified Wednesday by the US Department of Transportation that it has been awarded new, two year, Essential Air Service contracts for service to the communities of Columbia/Jefferson City, Missouri and both Grand Island and McCook, Nebraska. Air Midwest service in all three communities is anticipated to begin in the September to October timeframe and will be flown on the Company's 19-passenger, Raytheon 1900D aircraft.

The new service to Columbia/Jefferson City will consist of 12 nonstop roundtrips a week to Kansas City, MO plus 12 nonstop roundtrips per week to St. Louis, MO. Air Midwest will receive $598,751 in federal subsidy annually for these flights.

The new service to Grand Island will consist of two nonstop round trips to Omaha, NE each weekday and weekend and one nonstop round trip each weekday and weekend to Kansas City, MO. McCook will receive two one-stop round trips each weekday and weekend to Omaha, NE. Air Midwest will receive $2,296,462 in federal subsidy annually for these flights.

Mesa operates as America West Express, Delta Connection, US Airways Express and United Express under contractual agreement with America West, Delta Air Lines, US Airways and United Airlines, respectively, and independently as Mesa Airlines. Effective June 9, 2006 Mesa launched inter-island Hawaiian service as go! This new operation will link Honolulu to the neighbor island airports of Hilo, Kahului, Kona, and Lihue.
