TAG Aviation USA Appoints Doug Schwartz Vice President Flight Operations and Standards

BURLINGAME, Calif., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- TAG Aviation USA has appointed Doug Schwartz, former Aviation Director for AT&T, as Vice President of Flight Operations and Standards. Schwartz is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of TAG's managed fleet of corporate jets, as well as management and training of TAG's flight crews. He reports to Jake Cartwright, TAG Aviation USA's President and Chief Executive Officer, and will divide his time between TAG's corporate headquarters and its East Coast Operations Center in Rye Brook, NY.

Schwartz began his aviation career in 1975 with FlightSafety International, and worked for FSI for twenty-four years. He progressed through the ranks there and became FlightSafety's Corporate Director of Standards, coordinating the training standards across a network of twenty-seven pilot training centers. His duties included establishing and maintaining technical standards for pilot training programs in a broad range of aircraft types.

In 1999, Schwartz joined AT&T as their Aviation Director in Morristown, New Jersey, managing a seventy-five person staff operating eleven company aircraft at four locations, as well as AT&T's fractional aircraft interests. He was responsible for all aspects of AT&T's flight operations, and maintained his pilot currency flying as PIC on their Falcon 2000. He is also rated in the Falcon 20 and Learjet 30 series.

Schwartz has served on the Board of Directors of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), as well as chairing its Security Council and the NBAA Safety Committee. He has also served on the International Advisory Committee of the Flight Safety Foundation, and is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the Flight Safety Foundation.
