Jun. 26--Kansas City police arrested a 19-year-old man late Sunday after he ran from officers and into an unsuspecting resident's home.
The incident began about 11:40 p.m. Sunday when officers saw a car at Gregory Boulevard and South Benton with license plates that showed the owner had outstanding warrants. The car stopped in the 7000 block of South Benton.
A passenger in the car ran away from officers through a back yard and around to the front of the home. The passenger then opened the unlocked front screen door and let himself into the unsuspecting resident's home. The passenger then locked the door.
Officers chased him, forced open the front door and arrested the passenger for an outstanding warrant of telephone harassment.
