Norfolk Southern Places Additional Order for Eagle Broadband's SatMAX(TM) Satellite Communications Technology

Eagle Broadband, Inc (AMEX: EAG), a national provider of broadband, Internet protocol (IP) and communications technology and services, today announced the company has received a second order for its SatMAX(TM) non-line-of-sight satellite communications technology from Norfolk Southern Corporation.

Norfolk Southern's initial deployment of SatMAX technology in 2005 was designed to enable personnel to use existing Iridium satellite phones to concurrently make fully wireless voice and data calls from inside certain offices. The additional order of SatMAX units will enable Norfolk Southern to expand its emergency communications capabilities.
