Posted on: Friday, 21 July 2006, 18:00 CDT

Houston's Continental Airlines has picked Chautauqua Airlines to provide and operate 44 small jets as a regional carrier.

Beginning next year, Chautauqua, a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings Inc., will operate 50-seat regional jets on Continental's behalf, under the Continental Express brand.

Continental, the world's fifth-largest airline, will continue to schedule and market all of its Continental Express regional jet service.
