AWAC Announces Vice President-Customer Service

APPLETON, Wis., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Portaro to the position of Vice President-Customer Service. In this role, Vince will have responsibility for all customer service functions including oversight of our contract ground handling agreements with United Airlines and Northwest Airlines. This includes all functions that AWAC performs above and below the wing as well as station training programs. He will continue to take a proactive role in the growth of this important segment of our business. Vince will also actively participate as AWAC's primary liaison with US Airways to monitor their ground handling interface with our US Airways Express flying operation.
Vince will additionally have overall responsibility for the In Flight Service group, which is under the strong and capable leadership of its Managing Director - Laurie Martin.
Since joining Air Wisconsin in 1989, Vince has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in the Customer Service area. Prior to joining Air Wisconsin, he also held management positions in corporate support and station management at United Airlines and Midway Airlines.
