Frontier Airlines and Rainbow Rewards Announce Addition of Credit Card Rewards Program to EarlyReturns MasterCard

Posted on: Thursday, 3 August 2006, 12:00 CDT

DENVER, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines and Rainbow Rewards Colorado, Inc. today announced a partnership that will bring added muscle to holders of Frontier Airline's EarlyReturns MasterCard(R) credit cards.

Denver-based Rainbow Rewards Colorado, Inc. is a free credit and debit card rewards program for consumers that allows members to earn cash back rewards when they shop at hundreds of local and national participating merchants. In addition, every transaction provides a contribution to dozens of local charities through local chapters of United Way. As a result of Frontier's participation, all Rainbow Rewards members, including Frontier MasterCard holders, can choose to exchange their earned cash for Frontier Airlines EarlyReturns miles.

"When we first began the Frontier Airlines MasterCard, it was to offer another opportunity for our loyal travelers to earn more miles through their credit card purchases," said Andrew Hudson, Frontier's Senior Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications. "Now, Frontier MasterCard holders have a new opportunity to earn cash back or, if they choose, to earn even more miles. In addition, every purchase at participating merchants provides a contribution to Colorado-based charities."

Frontier's EarlyReturns frequent flier program allows participants to earn free flights in the Continental United States and Canada for only 15,000 miles, the lowest mileage redemption in the industry. For only 25,000 miles, EarlyReturns members can earn a free trip to one of Frontier's eight Mexico destinations. Frontier's EarlyReturns MasterCard program features Frontier's distinctive animals and allows card holders to earn up to two miles for every dollar spent using their card.

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Frontier Airlines credit card holders to Rainbow Rewards," said Steve Katich, President of Rainbow Rewards Colorado, Inc. "Frontier's EarlyReturns MasterCard is considered one of the best loyalty cards in the business, and our program will make the card even better."

With the addition of Frontier Airlines cardholders, Rainbow Rewards will have over 200,000 credit and debit cards in the program. The program currently has over 1,000 local businesses and online national retailers.

Membership in Rainbow Rewards is free to Frontier MasterCard holders. Frontier MasterCard holders who provided their e-mail addresses to Frontier's card issuer and have elected to receive offers from partners are automatically enrolled in the Rainbow Rewards program if they choose not to opt-out during the opt-out period. Frontier cardholders who have not provided their e-mail addresses who wish to participate can still enroll in Rainbow Rewards at no cost by going to http://www.rainbowrewards.com/ and registering. Cardholders who were automatically enrolled but wish to opt out of the program can also go to http://www.rainbowrewards.com/ to do so.
