Republic Airways Reports a 57% Increase in July 2006 Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ:RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2006. The company generated 649 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 57.0% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased to 830 million, a 45.6% increase. Block hours were 49,834 in July 2006, a 20.1% increase over July 2005. Load factor was 78.1% versus 72.4% in July 2005. A total of 1,228,250 passengers were carried during the month, a 44.1% increase over the same month last year. Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America. The airlines offer scheduled passenger service on approximately 1,000 flights daily to 88 cities in 35 states, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas through airline services agreements with four major U.S. airlines. All of the airlines' flights are operated under their major airline partner brand, such as AmericanConnection, Delta Connection, United Express and US Airways Express.
