Titan Energy Development, Inc. Receives Order for a Sentry 5000 to Be Utilized in U.S. Military Program

Posted on: Thursday, 17 August 2006, 09:00 CDT

Titan Energy Development, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Safe Travel Care, Inc. (OTCBB:SFTV), announced today that it received an order for a Sentry 5000 mobile utility system from NextEnergy, a nonprofit corporation founded to enable the commercialization of energy technologies that positively contribute to economic competitiveness, energy security and the environment. The Sentry 5000 system will be used in a program supported by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) grant to develop mobile utility solutions to provide on-demand power anywhere in the world.

The NextEnergy purchase of the Titan Sentry 5000 was made in conjunction with the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armament Command/National Automotive Center as part of a DoD-sponsored project called the "Advanced Mobile Microgrid Power System" (AM2GPS). AM2GPS is tasked with finding solutions that will allow government agencies and other entities to efficiently deploy mobile power control and conditioning assets to any location in the world within 48 hours.

"Given the potential of Titan Energy to become a significant player in Michigan's growing alternative energy industry, we are delighted to play a role in helping them access high value markets such as the U.S. Department of Defense," said Jim Croce, CEO of NextEnergy. "The Sentry 5000 is a perfect product fit for the AM2GPS program because of its unique set of onboard mobile utilities."

The Titan Sentry 5000 offers maximum disaster recovery at an effective cost. The Sentry 5000 provides up to 80 hours of self-sufficient emergency power generation (dependent on load utilization) before refueling. It allows for mobile deployment and supports emergency power generation, water purification, satellite voice and data communication, emergency area lighting, space conditioning (heat or cooling), and offers 50kW+ additional power capacity.

Thomas Black, President and CEO of Titan Energy Development, stated, "Titan is very excited to be a part of this important program. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the Sentry 5000 capabilities in a real-world military environment and could open doors to many different branches of the Military and Homeland Security for Titan and the Sentry 5000."

The AM2GPS program seeks to harness power from conventional generating sources as well as wind, solar photovoltaics, vehicles with exportable power capabilities, fuel cells and other sources, for distribution across a select geographic area. In the wake of a natural disaster, homeland security incident or military operations, it enables essential human services requiring power, including distilling and purifying water culled from any source.
