Full Flight Service Resumes at Heathrow

Full flight service has resumed at Britain’s Heathrow airport for the first time since a foiled terror plot was discovered earlier this month.

A total of 1,200 flights and 172,000 passengers came in and out of Heathrow, Britain’s busiest airport, Saturday, the Sun reported. It was reportedly the first day that flights were not severely delayed or canceled due to the terror plot.

A spokeswoman for the airport said the day was a typical busy Saturday afternoon in August.

The flight schedule has been running as normal. It has been busy but we are getting back to normal, she said.

The picture was reportedly similar at Gatwick Airport.

Saturday was the second day British Airways was able to run a full schedule. Budget airlines Ryanair and easyJet have been operating fully since Tuesday, the Sun reported.
