Rural/Metro Wins New Airport Fire Contract for Florida's Sarasota Bradenton International Airport; Renews Contract at Morristown Municipal Airport

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rural/Metro Corporation , a leading provider of medical transportation and private fire protection services, announced today the award of a new contract to provide airport fire fighting and emergency medical services at Florida's Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
The company also announced the award of a renewal contract to continue providing specialty firefighting and emergency medical services at Morristown Municipal Airport in New Jersey.
The new three-year contract for Sarasota Bradenton International Airport begins October 1, 2006 was won in a competitive bidding process and is expected to generate approximately $2.8 million in net revenue over its term. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is located between Manatee and Sarasota counties and serves four surrounding counties on Florida's Gulf Coast. The airport averages approximately 164,000 flights annually.
The three-year renewal agreement for Morristown Municipal Airport became effective July 1, 2006 and is expected to generate approximately $1.5 million in net revenue over its term. Morristown Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport providing service for corporate travelers as well as privately owned aircraft. The airport averages approximately 250,000 flights annually. Rural/Metro has been the contracted fire department at Morristown Municipal Airport since 1998.
