Republic Airways Reports a 64% Increase in August 2006 Traffic

Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ:RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2006. The company generated 625 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 64% increase over the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased to 850 million, a 49% increase. Block hours were 50,683 in August 2006, a 23.3% increase over August 2005. Load factor was 73.5% versus 66.9% in August 2005. A total of 1,185,862 passengers were carried during the month, a 47.8% increase over the same month last year. Republic Airways Holdings, based in Indianapolis, Indiana is an airline holding company that owns Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America. The airlines offer scheduled passenger service on approximately 1,000 flights daily to 90 cities in 35 states, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas through airline services agreements with four major U.S. airlines.
