Integral Systems Announces CCS-C Contract Modification in Support of U.S. Air Force's WGS Satellite Program

Posted on: Thursday, 14 September 2006, 09:00 CDT

LANHAM, Md., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integral Systems, Inc., today announced the award by the U.S. Air Force of two cost plus award fee modifications totaling $7.8 million to modify the Command and Control System-Consolidated (CCS-C) effort to support the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) program.

This change provides the full development capability for all on-orbit satellite command procedures to support the first WGS launch in fiscal year 2007. "This modification provides a critical capability to support the transition into Air Force operations of the first WGS vehicle to CCS-C in fiscal year 2007. These satellite command procedures are a major building block in CCS-C's support of the WGS program," stated Steve Roth, Integral's Director of MILSATCOM Programs.

The CCS-C program provides an upgraded capability to command and control the Air Force's communication satellites, including the Defense Satellite Communication System (DSCS), Milstar, Advanced EHF (AEHF), and WGS.

The results contained in this submission were generated in whole, or in part, through work supporting the MILSATCOM Joint Program Office (MJPO).
