SSA Marine was chosen by the Port of Sacramento to operate the port terminal in West Sacramento.
After a competitive bidding process, the Sacramento-Yolo Port District Commission approved SSA Marine to replace Marine Terminals Corp. as the new operator until the agreement expires in 2016.
SSA Marine presented the port with an attractive, alternative revenue-sharing proposal which, according to a staff report, presents the best chance for the Port to achieve the greatest amount of revenue in the near term.
