Dynegy CEO to Present at Merrill Lynch Global Power and Gas Leaders Conference

Bruce A. Williamson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dynegy Inc. (NYSE:DYN), will participate in the Merrill Lynch Global Power and Gas Leaders Conference in New York City. Williamson's presentation will be part of a panel discussion, "Independent Power Producers: On The Upswing," scheduled for 7:45 a.m. ET/6:45 a.m. CT on Wednesday, September 27, 2006.
The presentation will be web cast live, and interested parties may access the presentation slides and audio on the "News & Financials" section of Dynegy's web site at www.dynegy.com. A replay will be available shortly thereafter and will remain accessible through October 11, 2006.
