Nampa Rec Center Offers Dog Obedience Classes

Sep. 25–Nampa Recreation Department will offer a dog obedience class from 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays beginning today in Nampa’s West Park.
Classes will be taught by dog obedience instructor Heidi Theis and will run for six weeks. The class is suitable for all breeds of dogs and will include basic obedience commands including sit, stay, down, heel and come. Dogs will be on-leash throughout the class.
A choke chain, six-foot leash and 20-foot training lead are required for class, as well as a copy of the dog’s rabies vaccination. Dogs must be at least 4 months old, and dog owners must be at least 14 years old. Kids ages 10 to 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all classes.
