Eco-Safe Targets E.Coli With Ozone Disinfection in Food Processing Plants

Posted on: Monday, 25 September 2006, 18:00 CDT

Eco-Safe Systems USA, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CFGE), a manufacturer and marketer of Ozone disinfection equipment, has launched a national awareness campaign promoting the benefits of Ozone technology in protecting against E.coli contamination in food processing facilities.

Eco-Safe's patent-pending, Ozone disinfection systems have the capacity to protect processed foods and agricultural products from E.coli and other pathogens. The Tarzana, California-based company is pursuing efforts to raise the awareness within the food industry of the unequaled protection provided by Ozone disinfection.

According to Dr. Al Baroudi, President of Food Safety International (FSI), "After conducting several microbiological studies and testing, I believe the ozone system developed by Eco-Safe Systems USA, when used as specified, is the silver bullet for the food industry in terms of food safety and bio-terror protection, that has been long awaited. It kills harmful pathogens including E. coli 0157:H7, Listeria and Salmonella, leaving behind no harmful residue. It is also environmentally friendly since it disintegrates after 20 to 30 minutes and is safe for use by employees."

Added Michael Elliot, President of Eco-Safe Systems USA, Inc., "We are working closely with agriculture industry executives to provide better, safer foods through Ozone disinfection. Eco-Safe is also working with several large processors of pre-packaged produce to improve their own protections against E.coli."
