ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. , today announced the addition of enhanced service to Florida from the Midwest with new nonstop service between Chicago (Midway) International Airport and Southwest Florida International Airport. The route will be served on the airline’s popular quiet and fuel efficient Boeing 717 aircraft.
Effective December 21, 2006 through April 16, 2007, AirTran Airways continues its Chicago (Midway) expansion with the addition of nonstop service to Ft. Myers. Along with the recently announced routes to West Palm Beach and Miami, the airline will offer flight options to 11 nonstop destinations with 33 daily departures from the Windy City, as of February, 2007.
