Verizon Wireless Hosts Los Angeles Galaxy Team Members at Its Commerce, California Store

Verizon Wireless:

What: An autograph session with four members of the Los Angeles Galaxy professional soccer team: Santino Quaranta, Troy Roberts, Ugo Ihemelu and Kyle Veris. Also, KLAX 97.7 FM will give away autographed station items.

Who: Santino Quaranta, 21, is already in his sixth MLS season and has appeared in 62 career MLS games, scoring 14 goals. As a 16 year old in 2001, Quaranta was the youngest player ever drafted by Major League Soccer at the time of his selection.

Troy Roberts is an imposing presence on defense and is a tenacious competitor, figuring prominently in the Galaxy's rotation along the back line. In 2005 he played in 14 games for the first team, mustering 822 total minutes.

Ugo Ihemelu is a second-year defender who asserted himself as a presence to be reckoned with in the Galaxy's back line as a rookie.

Kyle Veris was named to the All-Big Ten first team in his final two seasons in college and was a first team All-Great Lakes region selection in 2005.
