Financial Times Will Publish Special Report on Corporate Aviation

Posted on: Thursday, 5 October 2006, 18:00 CDT

NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Financial Times will publish a Special Report on October 17, 2006, titled 'Corporate Aviation'. This report, both timely and relevant, will provide an in-depth look at the emerging trends and dynamic growth of the corporate aviation industry, particularly in the wake of mounting security threats to global commercial airliners.

Corporate aviation is becoming increasingly popular and more frequent due not only to the security threats facing commercial aviation and the subsequent delays and cancellations at some of the world's leading and most congested airports, but also because of a strengthened global economy, increased corporate profitability, and the desire for convenience and improved executive performance.

In its report, the FT plans to include thirteen distinct features focusing on the following topics:

* Introduction: a look at how the industry is expanding rapidly * The Market: a look at how the market is segmented and the main operators in each category * The Operators: a look at the management of the largest fleet of corporate jets in Europe * How to Fly: Options for Executives: a review of the various ways executives can fly privately * The Corporate Consumer: a look at how a leading user of corporate jets exploits the fleet and makes ownership decisions * Very Light Jets: a look at the manufacturers who are vying for entry and early mover advantage, and at the operators who are developing new business models to make the most of very light jets - notably as air taxis * The Manufacturers: a look at those companies making efforts to either break into business jet manufacturing or diversify their operations * Helicopters: an assessment of how well helicopters are competing with fixed wing aircraft * Airports: a look at airports that are developing a particular strength in corporate aviation and attracting top users of business jets * Air Traffic Control: a look at how air traffic control providers are coping with the demands of business aircraft operators

This report will be distributed inside all four editions of the Financial Times newspaper, and will appear online at http://www.ft.com/.
