RailWorks Announces Senior Management Appointments to National Transit Division

RailWorks Corporation, a leading provider of track and transit systems construction services throughout North America, announced today two senior management appointments in its Transit Systems subsidiary L.K. Comstock & Company, Inc.

Mark Patterson has been named vice president of operations for L.K. Comstock's National Transit division. Michael Rothschild has accepted a new position, vice president of pre-construction, in L.K. Comstock's National Transit division. Both positions report to Ronald L. Smith, president of L.K. Comstock's National Transit division, which includes all North American transit systems business outside of the Greater New York City area.

Patterson is an experienced construction executive who has led major rail and power distribution construction projects throughout the United States and Europe for more than 15 years. In his new position he is responsible for the operations of all of L.K. Comstock's National Transit projects. He most recently served as vice president of rail projects for the Eastern Division of Balfour Beatty Rail, Inc.

Rothschild is a 35-year industry veteran and licensed engineer who has worked for L.K. Comstock for more than 30 years. With his leadership, L.K. Comstock has completed dozens of transit projects valued at nearly $1 billion. He most recently served as operations manager. As vice president of pre-construction, Rothschild will direct the company's National Transit estimating and engineering teams.
